THAT LYING BITCH ...

Any musician has the right to create a 2nd band if they choose and that's exactly what 2 of the band mates from the Plain White T's have done. The band is called "That Lying Bitch" and it consists of Tom Higgenson and Dave Tirio from the T's as well as 2 other guys named Darren and Eric. They have decided to start from square 1 again after all these many years. The guys met back in High School and have always played in Punk Bands. Darren had a band called "THE SCISSORS" and apparently he talks about his EX in the new band's music. She was the guitarist in Darren's old band which ended a few months before "THAT LYING BITCH" was created. Eric and Darren are on the guitar in the group while Tom's on the drums and Dave's on the bass. Darren uses a VOX in the group and everyone is on backups. The band's name came to be when Tom told Darren he had his Kerplunk Greenday album and turned out Tom didn't have it after all. The guys are only playing around Chicago as of now but perhaps they'll tour around, eventually with even the T's. Their tunes are pretty catchy and can be only heard as of now via on youtube. Here's a clip of them at a gig.  

Their Nicknames are: Peeping Tom, Darren Trama, The Godfather & of course Dave Hovno.

If you ever get a chance you should really check them out .. Their influence for their music is actually The Ramones.  All of the band photos posted in this blog post are from the band's facebook page.

What It Means To Be 1 Of The Kids In The Street

this is post I am writing intertwines the Plain White T's and also the All American Rejects.

What does it mean to you to be a kid in the street?

to me it means that you are recalling the old times in your life that made you happy. The times that made me smile and act like a kid again at heart. Those moments in life where all you can do is just hide from the world the thoughts you are thinking, just be, & also bare the big grin & smile on your face.  To look outside a window & stare out into space & wonder what or where you are in your life at this point & wonder what you want to be really doing for the rest of your life.  

The Kids in the Street to me reminds me of the Plain White T's and the Wonders Of The Younger. To finding the part of yourself that you threw or hid away & thought you really lost. That favorite toy you had as a kid like a robot, a doll or even just your Legos or the favorite film you had like Ferris Bueller's Day Off or even Goonies or like Drop Dead Fred.  One of the times in your life where you can also realize your age, where you are & the responsibilities we wish we could just toss a side for a day. Just live your life to the fullest in just 1 whole day & do what ever we wanted & throw every last care away.  To also just live in the moment of the Life we have & do something totally spontaneous no one would guess we'd do. To find people in our lives who make us also want to be better people to further who we are & yet also make us want to do some good in this world if we can.  

Sometimes I wish I could be truly young again like my little nephew in this picture he probably doesn't have any cares as of this moment in his life he is so young that he is just trying to live each day as it comes.

The Kids In The Street is the AAR's new album coming out March 26th, 2012 actually & 2 of there songs on the album have been released out so far one is called BeeKeeper's Daughter & the other is called: SomeDay's Gone.  The story they say behind the album is pretty nostalgic & pretty deep & actually had me pondering & trying to remember what it means to be a Kid In The Street too.

V-DAY

So Folks V-Day is in 6 Days what are all of you up to? usually my V-Day has me pretty busy while also making time for a movie night in.  I know this year I will be also planning on taking care of getting some baby stuff for my nephew aka the Mighty Quinn aka my Little Chunky Monkey since his birthday is on the 17th. I know I may possibly be planning on what to do next for my next video project too since the last one is officially done. I know I can't believe that my nephew will be 1 that whole year time has gone by way too fast. Again if you read my previous blog post about the new year my 2011 had amazing events in it & I do believe there are amazing things about to happen this year & I just need to wait & see what key points I'm given and go from that. I know I hope I'm able to see and party with the AAR this year that would make the best birthday bash present of all time which is true. Vday is suppose to be a day for those who have some one to shower them  love them unconditionally if they are able to. I'm just glad this year I can spoil my nephew rotten too.

A New Year With New Happenings

Since its now already 2012 I have to admit I'm wondering what this new year has in store for me. Last year it contained my nephew being born, some amazing concerts, & I ended up seeing one of my favorite plays now out of all time called American Idiot & I ended up seeing Billie Joe Armstrong in NYC & then meeting last year the Plain White T's & the band of 100 Monkeys. I'm not sure if this year can top last year but I'm hoping there will be amazing things in store as well. So far my year started off early with some fanastic bands called: Parachute, Miggs, & Allison Park following me back on twitter. I'm still hoping the Plain White T's will be following me soon & also the band mates of the All American Rejects. I have found out actually that my brother's friend is the dentist for the band the AAR which is just epic to hear but he may be losing them as clients since he is moving back here in May. I know I can't wait to see more of the AAR's tour dates to be posted soon though because of there new album being released soon called: THE KIDS IN THE STREET - which one of the new songs on that album called: SomeDay's Gone - is just amazing and really catchy & has become one of my new favorite songs of there's besides the song Gives You Hell & Move Along.

I can say so far my plans are being made for this year though with some fun things in store such as a plan to hit NYC for a weekend trip sometime in the spring, going to Washington DC for a day trip maybe in april & also perhaps maybe going to Bamboozle fest or perhaps I'm hoping SBL in MAY. My nephew's birthday is in February which also is going to be epic since it's his first birthday & of course in August I'm going on a family vacation for a week. But I am curious if my Birthday extravaganza can beat last year's though it could be just as great as last year if I could meet this year Tyson Ritter, Mike Kennedy, Nickolas Wheeler & Chris Gaylor though & if I can actually be able to keep up and in contact with the T's that would just be alright by me too & also to keep in contact with the publicist for the 100 Monkeys as well.

I know lets see I do hope this year will also contain perhaps some new songs by the Plain White T's though & also perhaps a few shows too if they can or even some just webchats & even ustream performances too & perhaps as well a new album by 100 Monkeys & some new tour dates from them & perhaps a Baltimore Tour Date by Mechanical People as well.

But yep this is what I am hoping will happen this year & for this year's Birthday Extravaganza to be pretty darn FANTASTIC too.

The New Career

As of this week I truly found a wonderful job that I actually love. Its at a daycare and I am the 3's teacher I am working with up to 6 little ones while in the afternoons after there nap time some of the 4's come over to my classroom. It's alot of work but soo worth it the kids need more work on one on one such as for there alphabet letters and there numbers and there colors. This makes me believe I will have to start from the beginning with them and go from there. They will be behind some what when they hit the 4's classroom especially because its soo late in the program and the year. But what else can I do right?

I mean if the children are that bad off and need that much work I've got to do what I've got to do.  The job is a full time job from 9 am until 5:30 pm & it takes up more of my time but I am so making a difference in these childrens lives & its rewarding to know that & how far they will go.  It has you think of that poem by Dr. Seus the one that deals with Oh The Places You Will Go . . . that poem is the perfect reference I believe to how in the end run the kids will be later down the road.  I know this new job has health coverage and or benefits to it as well and I get to go to the beach for a teacher/day care convention in May for it. So atleast those are benefits for it but some of the downsides of course to it is that well I have to sign up for a class at my alma moter college for a course I need to have done to finish my 90 hours for this job and also to allow me to become senior staffed as well.  Which is even more work right there for my time wise besides the other free classes my new coworkers will b taking together as well to keep updated and posted. 

Which yes it really has me wonder as well when can I & will I be able to go to some more concerts. Because I do miss my concerts as well such as seeing the Plain White T's again and also seeing 100 Monkeys I mean yes I'd love to see even Green Day or even Mechanical People & or even The ALL American Rejects too.  I know I'm off on the weekends now which is awesome & great & will allow me to go visit Aimée on some more occasions too at the beach as well.  I know with this job I have to let my boss know as well that in May I will also be going to Madison WI as well for the SBL which is still is a big deal, event, & a good cause. 

Alas I've got to leave for those who even read my blog & these posts thanks for reading and keeping me sane with allowing me to vent.

13 Days

I am sorry all I haven't blogged in a while a lot has happend since the last blog. Quinn has gotten bigger, he's using his sippy cup now by himself, he's laughing more n mimicking sounds. I'm waiting to hear from another daycare for a new job. My brother & his wife are waiting to move into there new house. My folks & I have Danny while my brother & his wife wait to move. An old friend has stricken her 3rd strike on a long time friendship. I've got a PlainWhiteT's concert in 13 days. Spencer Bell Legacy is in 15 days & the haunted hayride is in 15 days to for part of Aimee's bday celebration bash. The other PlainWhiteT's show I'm going to is in 17 days & let's see my beach trip is in 21 days & the other part of Aimee's bday bash is the weekend of November 5/6 for the casino. I've been bummed a bit lately & want to cry. I broke up a dog fight actually yesterday between my dog dempsey who btw my dad is calling now Springsteen because he is the alpha dog & is the boss & my brother's dog named Danny.

I feel as if lately I want to evaluate my life & just think about how I can change things because years ago this isn't where I thought I would be & turn out. I was once asked years ago what would be my dream job by my mother. I have thought hard about it & have come to the conclusion if anything I'd love to deal with music some how while also allowing me to travel. Either with or at a venue, at a radio station or even just being a publicist for a band. Its true I've heard its a hard job to deal with from what I've been told. But come on isn't it true anything you really want is usually hard to get & a lot of work to handle??

Decisions Decisions Decisions

Folks so I officially need some advice I am stuck between what to do I want to go to Spencer Bell Legacy in October. While I also want to go to the Plain White T's 4 concerts in October too.  If I go to Spencer Bell Legacy I could go to one's t's show but I would feel like I am really not getting the whole leg of the tour then if I decided to do that. One of my friends works at one of the venues that the band will be performing at in PA and she told me if I do go she will definitely get me back stage with the band. I'm stuck in the middle of the cross roads path and need some guidance and assistance on this decision.   I know SBL I have witnessed it via the ustream livestream of the show in the past and it is always one amazing experience. There are usually about 6 or 7 bands that tend to play Spencer Bell's music and they all jam out all night long. This year though they are having more then that they are doing 10 bands which are: 100 MONKEYS, TIN TIN CAN, EVRO, DREW & THE MEDICINAL PEN, MECHANICAL PEOPLE, STEVEDORES, MELISSA EVANS, & 3 OTHER BANDS. I know it will be another great time & yes I do know my choices are both big ones to make.  If anyone reads my blog and could help me with this choice & all it would be great.

MY BEACH TRIP '11

Hey all,

I'm sorry I haven't blogged with you in a while. So lets see what's new in my life I am here at the beach until well tomorrow evening & finished a video project dealing with a concert I was in back in May. It came out amazingly well but the stupid issue is the file is so big it wont allow me post it on youtube and or facebook or even email it. So alas I had to shorten the video and post it as 2 parts for youtube. I just won today at the casino 30 $ on the slots but lost 10 $. Apparently my lucky winning music to help me win is again the PLAIN WHITE T'S. Lets see my concert I'm attending is 2 nights away & I'm hoping I get the Meet & Greet with the band. I just got a tweet back yesterday on twitter from @jacksonrathbone & he's the guy I'm seeing on Wednesday evening with his band mates of the 100 Monkeys. I am stoked to party with that band at the venue named Bourbon Street Ball Room & can't wait to hear some good laughs from Jackson & Ben Graupner.

Let's see what else has been instore for me over my beach trip I got some sun Saturday, & Sunday & plan on getting some more sun tomorrow aka Tuesday so I look great for the concert. I went shopping today as well and bought some new Skinny Jeans from aeropostle and couldn't stop thinking of Tom Higgenson and the fact I heard about him lol as well. and of course I bought a new pair of shoes from sketchers shoe outlet for my job as well. I know for tomorrow the only thing in store is more beach time of course and going to get a Rita's Ice.

I promise you all I will be blogging some more soon & will keep you posted with some new photos from the concert Wednesday evening. Is it possible as well to wish I could bring the T's with me to the concert I guess it is but would they really show up?? That Idk.

My great Luck

Just my great luck all on the 9th I felt really lucky and I sent tim lopez a friend request on facebook and he accepted finally. & today 7/12/2011 I found out I won a set of 2 tix for the Philly 100 Monkeys show and found out my friend ann picked me to be her plus one for a meet and greet with the monkey men on July 20th in Baltimore MD. the best person I would love to take with me as my plus one would always be one of the T's or even one of the TNR. I know it was a shocker to find out I won and I was doing my happy dance today like a penguin.  I am wondering if my luck can go even farther and win at the casino this weekend or even if the T's will follow me on twitter and if Tom & I can become great friends and all I wonder with my great luck of good luck and all if he will give me his cell digits too. Hmm who knows I have been trying to get there twitter page to follow me for a while now since april and also to get his digits. I know there is always a ruckus amuck when we The Monkey Junkies get together and there is always a big fun time a head so I'm ready to party at the show I just wish I could share the good time to be had with the t's so perhaps they could play with the Monkey Men which could be an epic show to be seen one zaney band mixed with a classic band who's been around for 15 years.

I'm not sure as of what else to say for how my luck can go besides I got a whole day yesterday with my baby nephew who's a total crack up lol and a giggle box. He's found out how to put his foot in his mouth and he also has found out how to throw the burp cloth on his head and play peek a boo. He's only 4 months old and is the size of a 17 month old. He doesn't have any teeth yet but the way he tries to talk is by grunting and he sounds as if he's a sumo wrestler lol. He's always going to be my the Mighty Quinn lol even though now it may just be shortened to just Q.B. instead.  I kind of think it would be interesting actually if I just stuck Quinn with my brother's dog and just wait to see how that chat would go while danny moans and groans and howls and barks Quinn just grunts and moans and belches lol. That chat could be just a site to see especially because I think the dog and my nephew both have starring contests too.  I know Quinn's reactions is funny sometimes to see what he may do next but I think that's all apart of having a little one around to see grow up.

MY PLAIN WHITE T'S ENCOUNTER MAY 7TH, 2011

THIS IS MY NEW BLOG HERE ON BLOGGER AND I WOULD LOVE TO TALK ABOUT CONCERTS AND WHAT ELSE MAY BE NEW IN MY LIFE. THE LAST CONCERT I WAS AT WAS ON  MAY 7TH & I WENT TO SEE THE BAND THE PLAIN WHITE T'S PERFORM AT A DOWN TO EARTH SHOW. IT HAD BEEN AT THE KENTUCKY DERBY DAY EVENT AT PIMLICO IN BALTIMORE MD. THE BAND WAS AMAZING AND GREAT AND AGAIN LEFT US THE FANS COMING BACK FOR MORE. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE PLEASURE OF MEETING THE BAND AFTER THE SHOW FOR PICTURES AND EVEN WAS ABLE TO TALK WITH TOM HIGGENSON HIM SELF WHO'S THE LEAD SINGER AND WAS ABLE TO CHAT WITH DAVE TIRIO TOO THE LEAD RHYTHM GUITARIST. THEY ARE BOTH SWEET AND PRETTY AWESOME GUYS TO TALK WITH. I WAS ABLE TO BRIEFLY TALK WITH TIM LOPEZ AND DE'MAR HAMILTON WHO WERE PRETTY GREAT BUT VERY SOME WHAT QUIET AT THE MEETING. MICK IS THE QUITEST ONE OF THEM ALL THOUGH AND SEEMED TO BE PRETTY SHY I'M THINKING HE NEEDED A BEER TO OPEN UP FOR CHATTING. WHEN I TALKED WITH TOM I THANKED HIM FOR MY BIRTHDAY SHOUT TWEET WHICH WAS ON APRIL 25TH 2011. TOM THEN SAID TO ME YOUR JOANNA AREN'T U? AND I REPLIED YES I AM AND HE SAID WELL IM TOM ITS NICE TO MEET YOU. HE IS SOO LAID BACK AND COOL I COULD HAVE TALKED WITH HIM ALL DAY. HE HAD TOLD ME PERSONALLY NO HE'S NOT WITH ANGIE ANYMORE AND I FOUND OUT LATER THE DETAILS WHY. HE I BELIEVE IS GONNA BE A TRUE LEGEND FOR BANDS AND SO WILL HIS BAND MATES. HIS BAND MATE THOUGH DAVE NOW BECAUSE IM THINKING HE DOESNT GET TALKED WITH AS MUCH AS TOM AND TIM DO HE WAS REALLY MORE OPEN TO TALK WITH ME THEN AND I WAS ABLE TO KIND OF STUMP HIM WITH A MUSIC QUESTION TOO.

FROM THIS MEETING I PROMISED TO MYSELF IM HOPING I CAN BECOME GREAT FRIENDS WITH TOM AND THE BAND. I WANT TO TRY AND KEEP THE RUMORS ASTRAY AND HELP CLEAR THE AIR FOR TOM AND THE BAND MATES.
